i have been out for 5 years.
my wife and i left together.
she saw the sham long before i did - though neither of us could 'put our finger on' what was wrong until we read coc, found the internet, etc.. i believe my wife leans toward atheism more than i do - i consider myself agnostic of the whole matter at this point.

are lucky because they have the inter-net at their disposal, back when I left we had to just go on a hunch
on my own understanding. Oh yes you most definitely can leave the JW experience but again its what you replace it with.
I went with honesty , knowledge and understanding with a open mind and heart, it really is the only way .
tomorrow, or when ever you read this, june 6th, my jw daughter gets married.
i have thought about it since hearing she was getting married.
but i somehow cannot bring myself to go.
I wouldn't attend and wouldn't do a thing let her realize the action of her ways, the onus of guilt will be placed on her.
One thing about the JWS never play into their game or be an acting receipt of their conduct.
By the way very sorry to hear of this situation, what a corrupt cult to create this and many other situations.
But isn't reasons like this that many people leave it.
i have already lost nearly all my friends....maybe just a handful will even be social........but i so hate to lose my mom and dad and my jw son.....one is df......so he still shows that he loves me.....but damm........i so hate to lose the little bit of fam i have left.......is that normal?......stupid question.....i guess i know from my time here....i so hate these guys that can take them away.....oompa.

So many people are so scared of being a non-jws , they are scared of well I guess I have to start celebrating Christmas and birthdays and Halloween

You don't have to do drugs , become an alcoholic , smoke , become dishonest, have promiscuous sex with multiple partners.
or you don't have to join another religion or church for that matter.

Religions just like the JWS cultivate fear on to their members to keep them to their own and essentially exploit them to their own desire.

How about just going with " I don't believe in religion any more "
and just leave it at that, walk out peacefully. I'm still quite surprised that they haven't DFed you as of yet
for the kind of stand you have taken and expressed. If your family starts to personaly degrade you for that its their problem

a friend of mine was asked if she had become "moist" along with had penetration actually taken place , why is that necassary to ask along with did you fondle breasts etc surley they could keep it short and ask if the "deed " was done , yes or no ?

Some elders get off in getting all the details of what happened, its an invasive power thing that they in their own minds think they hold over people.
That personal question was used to perceive if the girl was sexually excited at the time.
Gee when most people are in love and they are making out what does happen naturally ?
Elders by the way are not the smartest people around, you can tell by the questions they some times ask people,
but like I said its a power thing for them that they get off on and at times get moist .

Oompa in the past 30 years since I've stopped going to meetings I never said one word to my family against the JWS,
it worked well for me , perhaps you might consider the same........Think about it !

aparently brother hurd says as of 2010 all the magazine printing and distribution will be moved to canada.
the only printing the us will do is the books.
As far as environmental regulations in Canada go if anything they're stiffer, and as for shipping costs, they are about the same or even a bit more.
I thought they just bought a huge plot of land In New York State that they were going to develop.
It wouldn't make sense to close down the Printing production in the States since the the States carries their widest amount of circulation
of their literature. More and more people though are getting clued in to their dirty deeds, that may also include the law societies in the US and abroad.
